DLT & Digital Assets: strategy and business models
DLT & DA business models – the basics
Since the publication of the Bitcoin Whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008, DLT & digital assets have increasingly made their way into the financial industry. The potential for disruption at both the process and service levels means that banks and other financial services companies should have this topic in a prominent place on their agendas. Due to extremely high complexity and rapid developments, the novel technology and asset class pose high demands on companies, regulators and customers, while also offering great opportunities from a strategic point of view. Hence, it is indispensable for executives to promptly review their action plans and define their specific ambition.
The new asset class affects credit institutions and other financial services companies in their daily business: making sure that their employees are qualified in this area is therefore essential.
Clients must be appropriately supported throughout the advisory and service process and recognize the opportunities and risks arising from digital assets.
